The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi,also called the 'Apple of China' is soon going to release a second generation smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note/Red Rice Note,which is a budget android smartphone,and is successor to the Xiaomi Hongmi.
It would feature a 5.5inch HD touchscreen display capable of delivering 720p resolution and an octa core(high speed processor built on 8cores) processor MediaTek MTK6592.It will release tow versions of the device clocked with 1.7GHz im some and 1.4GHz in other variants paired with 1GB of RAM,microSD card expansion slot for expansion.It will be running on android 4.2.2 jelly bean.It has capacitive touch buttons that glows in red and a LED notfications lights on top.It will be sporting a 13MP rear shooter which should be able to offer full HD video recording  and a 5MP front camera for great video calling facilities(8MP in one of the variants).The device will be offering 3g WCDMA connectivity for other markets wifi 802.11 b/g/n,bluetooth and GPS.

The phone is rumored to be officially launched at its MiFan festival-the company's anniversary celebration event in early April and prices at $160.
