The Finnish handset maker Nokia now ventures into the market of android
based smartphones in India with its brand of X-series of phones in India priced
at an affordable Rs 8599. It is one of cheapest handsets with great features .This
venture aims at protecting the brand value of Nokia in this fiercely
competitive market of smartphones. So at last Nokia's dream of entering into
the smartphone market has come true !!It’s really praiseworthy that Nokia is
now attempting to regain its lost market share with the launch of this economic
priced phones, after their handsets were taken over by Microsoft.Nokia X is the
entry level model in the family. This is the first phone of this series with 4.1.2 Google android
operating system. The users will find Nokia's own apps store called HERE DRIVE
and Nokia maps for location service, Nokia mix radio music service i.e. Nokia's
interface applications. As usual this device has distinct looks and style of the Nokia. It has
sharp edges and poly carbonate plastic body in various bright colours. The
handsets are trendy and jazzy with 4 inch WVGA LCD display, resolution 480x800
pixels with 233 ppi. The main advantage of this phone series is that its dual sim with 1GHz
dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal
storage expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card, cloud based storage up to 10
GB camera with 3 mp with LED Flash 1500 mAh battery power with 11 hours of
talk-time. It has a single capacitive button for navigation. These phone are based on the Android Open Source project (AOSP) and thus
not purely android based phones. It will have Microsoft services as Bing
search, Skype communications, One Drive file storage with preinstalled 3rd
party apps as BBM, Plants vs Zombies 2, Viber, Vine and Twitter. Their home
screen will be like the Windows phone with larger and resizable tiles.
